General Manager - Online Cosmetics Business - Middlesex - Base salary £30-35k plus significant performance related bonuses

We are recruiting for a General Manager to manage and develop this business. The company is a well-established internet brand, specialising in the online retailing of cutting-edge, quirky
and fashionable cosmetic products. Our client is planning to expand its product portfolio and revenues significantly in 2007 and beyond.

Role Overview:

The successful person will have total responsibility for the profitability and performance of the brand through effective leadership of purchasing, operations, distribution, warehouse logistics, and staff development. A key requirement will be to maximise sales into the Consumer Retail market and to expand upon the existing services by delivering new and innovative ideas and processes to further enhance the business.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

Responsible for driving the business forward and to develop profitable Marketing campaigns both on and off network, to target key audiences. You will track, report on and optimize these campaigns to drive retention and loyalty programmes to engage consumers with all the company?s products.

Competency Requirements:

You will be financially and commercially aware, probably with a Marketing background in cosmetics, fashion or beauty products, now ready to take that next step up the ladder, and with a track record of delivering real business results to a high standard within tight deadlines. You will be experienced at negotiating and communicating at a senior level but, above all, you will need to demonstrate that you have the passion, ambition, drive and leadership qualities to achieve significant growth in the next 3-5 years.

Candidates wishing to apply will require leadership skills, maturity, tenacity, adaptability, excellent organisational skills and the ability to train, manage and inspire a team.

Prior experience - working directly with customers and partner contacts at senior management levels - is important as well as dealing with the Media and industry analysts. Key Skill Requirements:

The Package:
