Sensor Development Manager, Electrochemical Biosensors, Cambridge Cambridgeshire
Groundbreaking, innovative and creative technology company is looking for a Development Manager to pilot electrochemical/biosensor development. You will lead a team of engineers and development chemists to develop revolutionary monitoring products to benefit the critical care environment.
The role will test your abilities in both technical and managerial disciplines including:
? Managing sensor development activities whilst leading a team of engineers and development scientists to develop the companies electrochemical products.
? Be responsible for planning, organising and validating test products.
? Liaise with academic institutions and external test facilities on product development and progress, as well as collaborating with other team members on internal and external development projects.
? Identify parameters by which future product generations can improve companies monitoring products.
? Coordinate with QA, RA, operations and programme management.
You will also get a chance to get involved in:
? Contributing to other research and development activities.
? Contributing to product specifications.
? Participating in design and risk reviews.
Skills and Qualifications:
? A degree in bio-chemistry, chemistry, physics, engineering, biology or relevant discipline (post graduate qualifications would be advantageous).
? Ideally have extensive design control experience.
? Project management and team leading experience, ideally in leadership of scientists and engineers.
? Expert knowledge and experience of chemical or biosensor design and development is essential, and ideally, experience of manufacturing electrochemical sensors.
? Experience of working with quality systems (e.g. ISO, EN13485) would be advantageous.
? The ideal candidate will have 8 years experience of developing electrochemical sensors for commercial application, although the client is willing to be flexible on this.
? Preferable experience in dissolved gas levels and other analytes in blood.
