Main Description
One of the leading Women?s health consumer diagnostic pioneers is looking for a highly-ranked product development scientist to lead a team of up to 10 scientists and manage their assay development activities. You will get the opportunity to work on a number of development projects and spearhead not only your own individual career growth, but that of the organisations scientific capabilities.

This rewarding role will give you the chance to be a lead scientist, team member, and mentor. Responsibilities will include:
? Describe lateral flow-works, explain interdependencies, suggest technologies, experiments and formats.
? You will be responsible for progressing projects, resolving technical issues, participating and presenting at project meetings while also getting involved in product development reviews.
? You will also be mentoring and coaching a team of 10 + scientists, supporting their development, managing their performance, providing technical assurance and setting their objectives.
? You will also be leading your own project which means you have full control over project timescales, experimental design, overseeing the work of your team of scientists, reviewing and evaluating their work, whilst solving any technical issues your project may encounter.

Skills and Qualifications
? Ideally qualified to PhD level with a relevant degree, preferably in biosciences and 5 + years experience (possible flexibility)
OR
? Graduate with 10 + years experience (possible flexibility)
? Practical/technical abilities in bio-analytical techniques, including chromatography, protein characterisation, conjugation chemistries and standard lab practice techniques.
? Ideally you will have experience at developing medical diagnostic devices.
