A leading manufacturer in the Medical device industry is looking for a laboratory manager to develop and supervise their product release laboratory. Working in a beautiful location, in a fast-growing company, the successful applicant will have the opportunity to work in a challenging leadership role, using your own initiative to develop, motivate, build and sustain a team of production scientists.

This rewarding role will give you the chance to be a lead scientist, team member, and mentor.
Responsibilities will include:

? Building an effective team capable of meeting departmental objectives.
? Co-ordinate support to work programmes whilst monitoring performance within the laboratory.
? Develop, identify and continuously improve laboratory processes, analytical methods, systems and equipment whilst ensuring maintenance standards.
? Develop, monitor and control annual budget allocations.
? Produce timely, accurate and reliable reports of test data and present results.

Skills and Qualifications

? Educated to a least A level standard.
? At least 2 years experience in analytical chemistry.
? Experience of people management of teams of up to 5-10.
? Ideally, budgetary experience in financial management.
? Knowledge of process/product development would be an advantage.
