SALARY - £60,000 Basic Salary, £150,000 OTE
Company Overview
Our client is a Private Limited Company that supply systems management software to the financial arena, targeting in particular the investment banking sector. Their software enables users to identify problems with there systems and notifies them of issues in real time allowing companies to reduce the ?down time of their systems. They will also make bespoke software to suit a clients needs and offer continuous customer care following the implementation. The client currently has 90% of the world?s top 50 banks using their systems management software including 8 of the top ten. Financially last years growth was recorded at 50% and the financial growth for 2006/07 is forecast at a further 40-50%. They employ 50 people worldwide with offices in the UK- London, USA : New York and Chicago and Asia- Hong Kong, 34 of these employees work from the UK office in London and three of those 34 are in the sales team.
Candidate Overview
Our client is looking for people who have a proven track record in selling into the investment banking sector with a 2 year minimum stay in each role. The knowledge of systems management software is not essential but would be a bonus. You must be methodical, focused, educated and articulate but the most important thing is that you have the ability to close. They would consider people that have sold other software if they have a very strong background in selling to the investment banking sector, but by far the preference is that you have sold system management software however other software backgrounds will be considered. The sales account manager role will be based from the new office in the city and you will be covering the city area with occasional business in Europe and selling into the main accounts that they have won contracts with. You will be expected in the office every day so commuting distance is important; however it is dependant on how far you are willing to travel. As long as you are happy with commute they don?t mind where you live. You will be selling the systems management software into the investment banking arena and will have a turnover target of about £1.1 million the order values range anywhere from £50,000 upwards and they have recently closed a $3.9 million deal, the sales cycle on this can range from 3 : 6 months. The role is split 20% new business with 80% of the role generating business from within existing accounts.

Pre-Sales Engineer - LONDON
£40,000 - £50,000 commission scheme plus excellent benefits package and bonus potential
The Job:
The opportunity involves addressing all support aspects of the sales process. This will include:
? Giving demonstrations and presentations to senior customer representatives, up to Board level.
? Quickly attaining a good understanding of each customer?s requirements so that an optimum solution can be offered.
? If no packaged solution exists, working with the customer, the development team and the sales force to create a detailed requirements specification in order to produce a Proof of Concept proposal that meets the clients? requirements.
? Project manage the Proof of Concept process from initial installation through to customer acceptance.
? Assist new clients with the planning of their installation.
? Provide Post-Sales Support to customers as part of the larger Support team.
? This position is based in London and may require occasional travel within Europe.
The Person:
? Should ideally be qualified to degree level.
? Must have worked in a pre-Sales position for a software vendor.
? Must have excellent interpersonal skills, as this position involves significant contact with senior level end-user and IT support professionals.
? Will need to work very closely with the local IT support teams and end users at client sites in order to ensure that the correct solution is specified and delivered.
