Our client is privately owned and currently one of the UKs fastest growing logistics services providers. They have a significant portfolio of blue chip customers who demand the very best in distribution solutions.
They are currently seeking a Business Development Manager : South to aid further expansion of their warehousing, pallet distribution and network services.
Reporting into the Sales Director this new role will be pivotal to future of growth of the business and contributes considerably to overall business growth.
Working closely with the Sales Director, a Business Development colleague responsible for the North and with close links to operational and functional colleagues, you will balance the need for excellent key account management with the drive for new business. You will build long term relationships at both strategic and tactical levels selling across the range of services.

Knowledge and Skills:
You will be an accomplished Business Development Manager experienced in developing prospects, able to demonstrate sales success ideally in third party logistics services or the express parcels market.
You will possess a sustained track record of profitable sales in a market driven B2B environment.
Numeracy, literacy and the broader range of inter personal skills are pre-requisites as is the ability to win the hearts and minds of discerning, demanding customers. A passion for service is mandatory as is personal credibility and integrity.
Our clients Head Office is in Essex and you will be required to attend their offices at least one day a week.
