Business Development Executive : IP/IT : London : salary £35k + £38 + bonus

Increasingly, we are taking an industry sector approach to our marketing, focusing on areas of strength like Media & Entertainment, Technology & Telecoms, Life Sciences & Healthcare, Retail, Sport, Hotels & Leisure, Energy, Transport, Public Sector and Financial Services. We are expanding internationally with the recent addition of branded offices in Germany, France and Belgium and a high focus on the US. Over a quarter of our revenues are international

Role
?working closely with the Senior BD Manager Corporate IP & Technology and partners to build trust and rapport and then to work with them on campaigns at both practice and sector levels, driving these projects into tangible results
?helping European integration at practice and sector level from a market perspective
?looking for cross-selling opportunities and communicating opportunities and marketing activities to the department
?professional tenders and sales support
?targeting and other opportunity development using best practice
?supporting the collation of BD knowledge inc. legal directories, pitch experience, intranet, and ideas for marketing campaigns
?responsibility for the targeting and quality of all collateral including that produced centrally for IP & Technology
?working closely with colleagues across other practice areas and the central marketing team to ensure consistent branding and messages, and the sharing of best practice

Candidate skills
?Graduate calibre, with 3 years + experience preferably in a similar role
?A genuine interest in the IP & Technology/City world and changing legal industry
?A proven track record of results and proactivity
?Excellent English skills, with a focus on attention to detail
?Confidence to deal with senior fee earners and Partners and manage their expectations
?Able to multitask, prioritise and work to short deadlines
?Ability to work on own initiative whilst working as an effective team player across the BD/marketing team
