Account Manager, UK - £30,000 basic : London (UK travel)

Requirements:

At least 3+ years? work experience in sales, and/or account management including 1-2 years in arts, culture, non-for-profit, tourism industries

BA or B Sc required, with graduate studies in Arts, Tourism, Interpretation, Education or Business desirable. Exceptional presentation and communication skills

Sound understanding of financial analysis/theory is desirable. A passion for, or experience in arts, culture and tourism industries is preferred

Position Summary:

The Account Manager creates value for the client through generating new client accounts, managing existing accounts and maximizing the business yield on these relationships. S/he: Generates leads, prospects and closes new business in an assigned territory. Manages client relationships, including maximizing revenue under contract, renewing contracts, introducing new platforms and offerings, and closing new business that increases the value of the account Works closely with the Operations team to optimize revenue through yield management initiatives and new sales

Key Responsibilities:

Sales (% varies)

Prospect, generate leads, and close new accounts with both current and new clients within a defined sales territory, and a defined market segment. Develop new business that benefits our client and its clients, Draft proposals and undertake presentations as necessary to close new business, Negotiate with clients to close new relationships

Create projections for future quarters / years and work with clients and internal departments to realize these projections

Account Management (% varies)

Manage all aspects of new and existing projects working with Creative/Production, Technical, Finance, Product Development and Operations Departments as well as with the client to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget and to the full satisfaction of the clients. Create, update, communicate and oversee multiple, simultaneous project schedules, Create and implement project marketing strategies that maximize project revenue, Cultivate and maintain productive and professional work relationships with clients, Track adherence to contracts, Closely monitor and analyze client relationship for market trends, travelling shows, new business early warnings etc

Metrics:

A medium level of independent judgment is required: The AM must be able to think quickly while in client facing situations and find the best solutions - but receives support from managers and business leader, employees, customer numbers vary based on territory, Significant travel required; 25-75% depending on location and territory
