The Export Sales Account Manager will be a key member of the company sales team reporting initially into the Associate Director of Sales.

The role is to initiate sales in export markets not currently represented by the company offices, dividing time between territories already enjoying the company coverage like Denmark, Norway and Belgium and those that do not. For these existing areas, the role will be to manage and grow the existing company business both through direct engagement with major local retailers and by working with locally appointed distributors. Forging direct relationships with the major local retailers.

You will be expected to provide summary reports for each market to provide a comprehensive picture of competitive, retail, economic, marketing and broadcaster activity. The role will also include providing detailed forecasts by customer and product for the stock ordering and production planning process.

The role is UK based, but will involve significant travel mainly, but not limited to, European travel. The level of travel will vary at different times but it is envisaged that as much as 50% of the week will be abroad.

There will be numerous events/shows at which the company will be in attendance either directly (e.g IFA, Berlin and CES, Las Vegas) or indirectly through our local distribution and retail partners. As a result, you will need to be flexible, as many of these events will take place during weekends.

You will be expected to monitor stock levels and sell through on all key lines with both distribution partners and key retailers. Full awareness of and pro-active channel stock management will be expected.

You must be able to demonstrate strong export sales experience with a proven track record of delivering sales. Experience of working with, setting up and getting the best from distribution partners is also essential. Must be able to work as part of a team and able to work alone and with minimal support, especially when travelling.

Graduate calibre (preferably with business/commercial orientated degree)
European language skills would be an advantage
