Young, dynamic company is looking for a trustworthy archivist.
Tasks typically involve:
evaluating records for preservation and retention;
arranging the acquisition and retrieval of records;
preparing record-keeping systems and procedures for archival research and for the retention or destruction of records;
cataloguing collections and managing information and records;
responding to personal, telephone, email and written enquiries from members of the public and other users;
advising users on how best to access, use and interpret archives, often through internal training courses;
facilitating access through user-friendly computer-aided searches and by exploring ways of networking archives and other means of facilitating remote access;
arranging exhibitions, talks and visits;
producing teaching materials;
facilitating training sessions on archival procedures;
bidding for funds and managing section budgets;
identifying ways of protecting and preserving collections;
managing and supervising junior staff;
undertaking general management responsibilities, such as budgeting.
In our company the following will be your main tasks:
Collecting dead files as required
Closing files on Artiion, labelling, boxing and sending files to storage.
Ordering files from storage and returning them.
Maintaining system records an Artiion and keeping paper systems up to date.
Tracking, retrieval and collection of deeds across the firm.
Maintaining accurate records for deeds and file records on Access and Artiion respectively.
