A prestigious Healthcare communications agency seeks an ambitious Account Director to join their team in London?s bustling West End. As the largest healthcare agency in the world, the company are able to offer a vibrant working environment, fast paced and exciting culture and accounts with high profile pharmaceutical clients. Examples of specialist areas include oncology, allergies, HIV and infectious diseases, diabetes, vaccines, respiratory, dermatology, cardiovascular and pain management.

As an Account Director you will be expected to lead strategic input into a variety of accounts. Reporting to the Client Services Director you will drive and manage a team of Account Managers, Account Executives and Medical Writers and act as the first point of reference for several clients. You will possess a proven track record of excellent communication skills and developing proposals for new business opportunities with new and existing clients. You will be able to demonstrate an understanding of account budgets and targets and the necessity for strategic planning in order to progress the company.

As an Account Director you will ideally have at least 3-4 years experience in a Medical Communications Agency or similar environment. Knowledge of the therapy areas the company specialises in is a distinct advantage but not essential. Candidates must have a life science degree and ideally be educated to PhD level. Specific knowledge of HIV would be a distinct advantage for this position.
