Our Client is mainly responsible for all NVQs and apprenticeships for the Royal Logistic Corps and has since become one of the largest work-based learning training providers in the Armed Forces, reflecting the support it provides to the Defence College of Logistics and its tri-Service Learners.
They have numerous Learning Resource Centres (LRCs), co-located in military units, throughout the UK and Germany. Each LRC, from Lisburn in Northern Ireland to Bielefeld in Germany, is equipped and staffed to provide local on-going support to all its NVQ and apprenticeship learners. There is over 160 staff looking after the needs of learners from the Royal Marines, the Army and RAF.
Their portfolio includes programmes for: Driving Goods Vehicles; Distribution & Warehousing; Telecommunications; Customer Service; Administration; Munitions; Stevedoring; Management and Learning & Development.
The Role:

To take total ownership of the learner?s progress through their programme; ensuring that structured learning and reviews are carried out in accordance with our Client?s standing operating procedures, as well as ensuring all learners complete their Apprenticeship/ Advanced Apprenticeship/ NVQ within the Individual Learning Plan (ILP) guidelines. You are also required to support your line manager in sourcing new learners so as to maintain operational effectiveness. To actively carry out Key Skills assessments with the learners.




Carrying out On-site NVQ assessments and booking Key Skills support in preparation of examinations and the development of Key Skills portfolios:

(1) Within designated geographical.
(2) Other locations as agreed by your line manager.


Carrying out On-site reviews in conjunction with assessment where possible:

(2) Other locations as agreed by your line manager.

Responsible for ensuring that all your allocated learners complete their portfolio?s of evidence. (NVQ and Key Skills) and that they are completed within the agreed standard length of stay.

Briefing of MPOC?s and enhancing the performance of licensed assessors and Internal Verifers using their Computer Credit Scheme in liaison with your line manager.

Identifying and locating new learners as well as those who are ready for advancement to level 3 Advanced Apprenticeships.

Responsible for ensuring that the electronic and manual learner P files for their learners are kept up to date in accordance with standing operating procedures. This includes the accounting of structured learning. Where possible admin support will be available to assist in completing these administrational task.

Responsible for producing timely managerial reports and for ensuring that referred learner portfolios are returned to the relevant learner for correction and resubmission to the original IV.

Ensuring good relations are maintained with the learners units to improve access and coordinate assessment/reviews.


Knowledge and Skills:



Essential:
· Occupationally competent in Transportation and holding a full C+E driving licence, Warehousing & Distribution, Telecommunications or Stevedore Port Operator.
· Have attained qualifications in Key Skills Level 2, D32/33 or A1.
· Able to travel at the Trust expense to carry out your job role as directed by your line manager
· Self-motivated with ability to plan organise and implement own schedule.
· IT literate using all MS Office programmes.


Desirable:

· A good understanding of the Apprenticeship process.
· Experience in any of the following: Distribution & Warehousing, Telecommunications, and Transport Office management.

· Key Skills Level 3
