A well established charity is seeking to recruit a Direct Marketing Co-ordinator with responsibility for the recruitment and retention of new regular givers through face-to-face fundraising and to ensure face-to-face activities are fully resourced and fully effective in order to maximise donor response.

The JOB
The position has delegated responsibility for the following resources:
? An expenditure budget of £375,000.
? A first year income budget of over £123,000, plus an established income budget of £630,000 per annum.
? Circa 6,000 active F2F supporters.
? A team of approximately 25 face-to-face fundraisers based in London.
? F2F fundraising equipment.

Your Role

1. To develop, project-manage and monitor face-to-face fundraising activities.
2. To formulate and monitor annual budgets for the face-to-face activity and to achieve agreed income and expenditure plans.
3. To continually track and report on performance of face-to-face activities by producing complex reports and analysis regarding progress, attrition, and performance of campaigns. From the analysis recommendations should be made and, where appropriate, implemented.
4. Monitor performance of face-to-face staff and address issues identified.
5. Develop face-to-face fundraiser training structure, workshops and training materials.
6. Ensure the smooth flow of information to members of your team about work, any changes or developments regarding the charity?s work and where necessary, produce fundraiser friendly information.
7. Plan, develop, and project manage communications, by selecting data, researching topics, producing agency briefs, writing and editing copy, proofing, and analysis.
8. To build beneficial and effective relationships with external agencies working on behalf of the charity and monitor services and quality of services provided.
9. Co-ordinating the charity?s relationship with the PFRA (Public Fundraising Regulatory Association) including preparing bids, levy payments, etc.
10. General office based support to the face-to-face teams, including checking and inputting team timesheets, preparing rotas, administering fundraiser and team leader information.
11. Track all stock usage and arrange for reorders including gathering quotes for appropriate authorisation
12. Check, record and arrange sign off of invoices and teams? expenses, monitoring them against budget.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS

Knowledge
? Good understanding of face-to-face fundraising techniques and developments and the ability to effectively apply these to the charity.
? Direct marketing knowledge, including copy, design, print, analytical skills, and modelling.
? Computer literate
? Knowledge of the NGO sector

Experience
? Experience of coordinating face-to-face campaigns (desirable).
? Experience of managing projects with external agencies.
? Experience of managing budgets and working to targets.
? Experience of working to tight deadlines.
? At least one years? experience of working in a fundraising, marketing or sales role
? A proven track record of successfully identifying, recruiting and retaining corporate partners in a fundraising or business to business environment
? Experience of developing strong working relationships with key contacts at all levels
