Brand Manager - London - £35K - £38K, Plus Benefits
My client, a well known and highly respected organization, has a requirement for a Brand Manager - Consumer to join their Brand Communications team whose role is to create imaginative and successful marketing campaigns to key audiences.
The purpose of the role
? To be the guardian of the Client?s brands in all consumer communications across both new and traditional media.
? To develop high quality, cross-platform marketing communications to achieve key businesses and audience objectives.
Main activities
? Plan, book and manage all consumer media & productions including TV, radio, outdoor, online and print.
? Manage the planning and delivery of marketing campaigns to maximise take-up of newspaper promotions and hit sales targets.
? Effectively brief advertising and media buying agencies to ensure all communications activity is targeted, driven by customer insight, cost-effective and optimised across channels.
? Ensure the effective use of assets and in-house activity across all campaigns
? Manage the integration of brand positioning across all comms platforms and ensure the effective use of correct design templates where appropriate.
? Manage the internal communication of all brand marketing initiatives and competitive information (with media agency)
? Communicate with other marketing functions to ensure creative and strategic integration across campaigns.
? Effectively manage the advertising budget for all brand communications activity.
? Line management of Senior Brand Comms Exec and Brand Comms Exec.
Person Specification
? Project management ability: thorough, organised, with excellent attention to detail.
? Clear written and verbal communication: ability to express positive and negative feedback to other departments and 3rd parties effectively.
? Energetic, flexible approach: ability to manage internal relationships. Respond to challenge and work under pressure.
? Instinctive sense of how brands are made, how branding works and brand equity
Specific Knowledge and skills required
? Knowledge of newspaper marketing and production processes
? Understanding of online marketing techniques, the role of new media, web 2.0 and the digital landscape in the business future vision.
? Understanding of the market dynamics and competitive context
? Ability to apply consumer insights to the media and creative planning process (including appreciation of research and brand positioning techniques and their role in developing strategy)
