Supply Chain Manager - North Wales

£40-50K+SignificantBonus/Healthcare/Pension/Relocationpackage

Leading manufacturer, operating in Defence and Aerospace markets, requires an experienced Supply Chain Manager to take up a key role at their world class UK operation in North Wales.

Reporting to the Operations Director, the purpose of the role will be to effectively manage the procurement process and external supply chain activities by using proactive and progressive supply chain management techniques. The incumbent will be required to continually develop the present supply chain to support current and future needs of the business ensuring that appropriate strategies are in place to cope with the varying demands of the business.

Main objectives will be to

Review existing high value contracts and identify and develop new lower cost sources in order to ensure the companies ongoing competitiveness.
Lead the existing team of 13 in delivering supply chain objectives.
Review inventory systems
Support the Commercial Director in bid preparation for potential new contracts
Significant input in the implementation of the new ERP system.

The successful candidate will have

At least three years supply chain experience at a senior/management level.
Experience of specialist, high value procurement in a larger modern manufacturing operation.
Significant experience working with ERP systems
Strong leadership, commercial awareness and decision making skills
Possess strong technical credibility and have experience working with ?world class? methodologies and measures.
The flexibility to travel to suppliers worldwide.
