Our client, a leading manufacturing company are currently looking to recruit an experienced Purchasing Manager. You will be responsible for overseeing all staff within the Purchasing Department and across the two main sites.

Core responsibilities will be to look at stock levels and materials required and increase order proficiency. You will control buying quantities, oversee stock movement and allocation, deal with key suppliers and negotiate pricing rates with suppliers, deal with quality issues relating to substandard materials and ensure that material levels are monitored and kept in line with customer requirements.

Our client is looking for an individual that has excellent leadership qualities and can build a team around them installing a productive work environment and strong team ethos. Levels of communication are paramount and the successful individual must be confident in organising and running departmental meetings and understand the importance of high communication levels amongst the team.

A self motivated, hands on individual who can Think on their feet and offer a pro-active management approach is required for this position. You will have a strength of character and be a confident addition to the Management team.

Previous Purchasing/Buying experience within the Manufacturing industry is desirable along with proven man management skills.
