Process/Analytical Chemist - North Wales

Leading manufacturer, operating in Defence and Aerospace markets, are seeking to recruit an analytical chemist to provide a comprehensive chemical service to all areas of the business.

A key analytical role in the daily control of their glass melting processes , responsibilities will include

Raw material sampling and analysis using atomic absorption spectrometer and X
ray fluorescence spectrophotometers.
Process monitoring and analysis.
Operating Lab-scale processes and treatments.
Specialist waste handling and disposal.
Health, Safety and Environmental monitoring routines.


Candidates will be educated to HND level or degree equivalent chemistry qualifications. Ideally applicants will already have some work experience in a precision, analytical role and possess a strong foundation in ?wet analytical? chemical techniques. A working knowledge of Atomic absorption and X-Ray fluorescence spectrometry for glass analysis would be advantageous as would an interest in chemical safety and environmental impact.
