MATERIAL SERVICES ASSISTANT SECTION MANAGER - Wiltshire - Salary - £ 27,000 - £32,400.

Reports to: Production Control Section Manager
Job Summary:

Oversee the day to day operation of the Material Services department and all associated processes
Recruitment of key personnel, including Team Leaders / Coordinators
Set action plans to achieve the set targets
Lead dedicated teams to ensure effective implementation of equipment, manpower, training and quality
Assist in meeting Key Performance Indicators (KPI) for the Material Services Business Plan
Establish a stable and sustaining organization in Material Services
Set selection criteria, plan and recruit Material Services Manpower to meet business requirements
Effective liaison with Production, other departments and external organizations to ensure business plan KPIs are achieved
Support Mass Production KPIs for Efficiency, OEE, Manpower, Quality, RFT, 5S. and implement plans to achieve stable threshold
Maintain positive working atmosphere
Management of associates including Discipline, attendance, and enforcement of company policies.
Ensure effective Associate development and involvement
Provide leadership to dedicated teams to ensure improvements are implemented and sustained.

Person Specification:

Essential:
Previous Managerial experience at Coordinator / Supervisor or above
Good communication and man management skills
Proven record of achieving through people and systems
Computer literate
Desirable:
Previous experience in a shift organization
Automotive / Manufacturing Experience, although the ability to lead and develop Associates is the essential factor
Previous experience of setting and monitoring of goals and performance
Experience of working autonomously and through teams
The desire to develop an organization from concept through to maturity in a short space of time

The salary is £27,000
Shift allowance if on permanent lates. No overtime
Shift Allowance: early 10% and lates 20%.
Shifts are Early: 06:00 to 14:20, Lates 15:30 to 23:50 & Days 08:00 to 16:20
