My client is one of the largest fresh food producers in the UK and have recently been awarded the queens award for innovation. Due to continued success in their field they have a exciting opportunity for a HR Assistant.
Key Tasks:
Co-ordinating Recruitment and Selection activity
Co-ordinating Probationary Review process (setting up interviews, receiving and filing paperwork, highlighting problems)
Co-ordinating Termination of Employment procedures
Liasing with HR Team re Inductions (all associated paperwork and locker provision - getting keys cut and allocating locker keys to new starters - liaise with Training Coordinator to ensure seamless transfer of induction paperwork)
Home Office applications - either Workers Registration Scheme or Work Permits - if outside EEA state country (complete application paperwork, ensure employees pay their fee and provide passport/ID card, send to Home Office via Special Delivery)
Co-ordinating National Insurance applications (set up interviews on site, liasing with JobCentre Plus)
Labour Provider administration (scan/fax weekly registers, reconciling weekly invoices, updating personnel data - joiners/leavers, monitoring web portal, liasing with Training Coordinator to ensure inductions are completed before employees commence work)
Payroll administration (new starter/change of circumstance/payroll deduction forms, medical certs., all to be signed off by appropriate personnel and faxed/emailed to Payroll)
Uniform and PPE provision
Absence (collating self-cert forms/updating RTWI forms with Bradford Factor Scores/Drs notes filed, updating/running reports on navision and informing Senior HR Officer of employees with unacceptable attendance - triggering potential disciplinary, send out AWOL letters)
Occupational Health (sending off nightshift questionnaires, setting up OH interviews/assessments - annual event, standard letters for requesting medical reports - liaise with Senior HR Officer)
Disciplinary/Grievance (standard letter invites/minutes/outcomes - liaise with Senior HR Officer)
Shift Rep minutes
Letters to retirals
Co-ordinating Loyal Service Awards
Updating notice boards
Booking holidays on Navision
Monthly Report
Dealing with Reference letters to banks/building societies
Filing and general administration
Creating holiday forms for all staff on annual basis (using mail merge)
Processing Christmas Vouchers
The ideal candidate will have some previous experience in the same or similar role. Hours are 25 per week - either 3 full days or 5 part days. £15,000-£17,000 pro rata depending on experience. The position is permanent.
