Our client is a leading manufacturer of quality plastic building products for the Irish, UK and Mainland European Markets. Currently looking to recruit an experienced Shift Supervisor.

Successful candidates must have the technical expertise required for managing production, as well as the inter personnel, organisational and communication skills needed to effectively lead others. As Supervisor you will have the overall responsibility for the production operations on shift. This includes producing high quality products that meet the companys quality standards minimising waste and machine downtime whilst maintaining a clean,safe working environment.

You will be responsible for dealing with all staff issues and welfare, including training, safety and maintaining discipline. Key performance indicators will be set by management and will be assessed therefore it is the Shift Supervisors responsibility to ensure that his/her shift achieves the set targets.

The main job functions will be the Supervision & organisation of all personnel and extrusion related activities including production, materials handling & granulation. Maintain the production area in a clean & organised manner. Ensure that all production targets meet quality standards. This is carried out by communicating quality requirements to production personnel.

Ensure that all manufacturing & quality records are accurately completed & submitted on time. You will coordinate with the Production Manager on all product and material changes. You will provide input on continuous improvement of equipment processes & materials/procedures.

The ability to motivate and delegate effectively is required and suitable candidates will be able to analyse situations and implement practical and effective solutions. Previous experience of working within a similar Production environment would be advantageous.
