Our Client is a multi- national food logistics and facilities provider. Our Client operates a food distribution warehouse within their Military Supply Division in Kabul, Afghanistan for which they are currently seeking a Warehouse Supervisor.

This is a Warehouse Supervisor role, broad in scope assisting with the running of a cost effective food warehouse operation whose customers are countries who are supporting the peacekeeping operations in Afghanistan.

Reporting into the Warehouse Manager you will be responsible for all warehouse activities i.e. goods inwards, picking, stock replenishment and stock management, organising stock takes etc.

Your responsibilities will include quality of service to the customer, staff recruitment and retention, health and safety and cost control.

As in any successful management position, the development and motivation of the team around you is essential, as is the ongoing strengthening of customer relationships.

Knowledge and Skills:

To meet this unique challenge, you will ideally be an ambitious warehouse professional with your experience in warehousing and inventory management gained ideally in a food distribution or fmcg environment. With outstanding leadership ability and a strong customer focus, you will have the confidence to win credibility and make an immediate contribution.

You should be familiar with computer based stock and WMS systems and generally be PC literate : MS Office, e mail and Internet.

Experience of working in a military environment or for an international facilities services provider and other similar organisations would be ideal, as would experience of working in remote sites, on oil rigs or in other arduous environments.

You should possess excellent communication skills in English and ideally one other language and be able to adapt to rapid changes in a positive manner and work to tight deadlines.

Superb inter-personal skills and instant credibility are essential as you will be inter-facing with a number of people from different backgrounds, nationalities and religions.

You will be resourceful with a flexible outlook, have the ability to multi-task in order to handle competing priorities and be able to fit in to an international dynamic and multi-cultural environment.

Finally you should possess a Drivers Licence.

This is an outstanding challenge for an accomplished Warehouse Supervisor looking for something different.

Whilst our Client?s operation is somewhat unique they are in it for the long term and accordingly are looking for a minimum of 18 months commitment.

The basic salary is paid in US Dollars and is tax free for an Ex-Patriate employee. In addition there is a bonus payable after 12 months service which is paid annually and is also paid in US Dollars and tax free for an Ex-Patriate employee.

Accommodation, laundry, local transport and meals are provided free. In addition employees have the use of a phone to call family and friends and the internet for e-mails etc.

Western Ex-Patriate employees will receive 63 days annual leave per year and the working rota is approx 14 weeks on, 3.5 weeks off.

Western Ex-Patriate employees will receive 3 paid return economy flights per year and Mobilization and De-Mobilization flights are also paid for by our client.
