Our client is a leading food and non :food wholesale distributor on the idyllic island of Bermuda and prides itself on being at the forefront of its industry. Our client requires Warehouse Managers each of whom will be responsible for management of a particular section of our clients daily warehouse operations (receiving, picking or dispatch) including inventory and staff management.

Reporting to the Operations Manager the successful candidate must show a commitment to excellence in customer service and leadership in a team environment.

This is an outstanding opportunity to move into a warehouse management role and play a key part in running a smooth, efficient and customer focused operation : because that?s what our client is intending to run at this site.

In addition to managing your team other key responsibilities will include staff allocation and utilisation, staff recruitment and development, managing health and safety and security issues and the enhancement of customer service standards.

You will be expected to effectively manage resourcing levels through efficient control of absence/holidays and agree targets and standards which support the achievement of the Company?s objectives.

Knowledge and Skills:

To succeed, you should have warehouse supervisory / management experience within a fast moving wholesaling or retail distribution environment,

You should be PC / IT literate with knowledge of and experience with Microsoft Office applications and a recognized inventory control software system.

You will be capable of demonstrating good leadership and have excellent oral and written communication skills supported by proven organizational and time management skills in a fast-paced environment.

You will have proven ability to manage warehouse productivity levels including proactively reviewing, recommending and implementing new operational procedures as necessary.

You should have knowledge of warehouse and supply chain management practices (including inventory management, product flows, and delivery scheduling).

Experience in a unionized work environment and negotiations would be an asset but is not essential.

A flexible schedule is required, as this role requires working weekends and after hours as operational requirements dictate.

Our client offers a competitive salary, bonus scheme and benefits package including a Pension Scheme, Health and Life Insurance, as well as a Company Discount Scheme

The basic salary will be dependant upon the candidates skill set and experience but will be around 70,000 Bermuda Dollars per annum which equals 70,000 US Dollars and is tax free. In addition a performance related bonus is payable up to 7,000 Bermuda Dollars and is also tax free.
