Temporary traffic management technician - N4 Lucan Bypass, Dublin (Ireland)
An opportunity for a Temporary Traffic Technician has arisen for the detailed design of the :60 million N4 Lucan Bypass Road Widening on behalf of our client Jons Civil Engineering in Ireland (Republic). The road forms part of the Major Inter-Urban Road Linking Dublin & Sligo and comprises the section of the N4 road between the M50 interchange and the Leixlip interchange near the South County boundary with County Kildare.
The project consists of the pavement overlay and widening of approximately 6km of two lane motorway, and has a significant morning and evening traffic flow.
This post will be based on site and is expected to commence in summer 2007 with an estimated completion date of end of 2009. The successful candidate will be working as part of a joint venture team and will be responsible for site inspection and supervision and should be able to work in a constructive manner with the contractor.
To be considered for this position you must have:
A relevant professional qualification recognised by the IEI
Experience in using Chapter 8 of the Traffic Signs Manual would be an advantage
Familiarity with temporary traffic management layouts for large road design
To excel in this role the successful candidate must be an enthusiastic team player capable of working on your own initiative. You should possess good interpersonal, negotiation and communication skills.
