Service Planner - Crawley - £25,000 - £30,000 + excellent benefits

Are you a well-organised computer-literate Service Planner looking for a new challenge in a stable global company?

The Rail Division of this international engineering consultancy develops and supplies technical solutions to rail companies in many of the world?s leading cities, including Hong Kong, Vancouver, New York, Shanghai and London. Parts and equipment supplied to these companies periodically need calibration or repair, and your role will be to accurately record all movements of these products from the customer to the repair agent, and then from the repair agent to Stores, and from there back to the customer, liaising with all parties to ensure that contractual requirements, including turnaround times, are met.

Other duties will include:

? To plan, load and control all service and calibration rework orders
? To be the point of contact for all parties for the service and calibration process, and resolve queries on invoices
? To update and maintain the Service Order database
? To authorise subcontract repair costs and raise the necessary paperwork
? To advise the Operational Services Manager of any deviation from the agreed process or schedule

In order to carry out this role, you must have a good level of computer literacy, including MS Office, MS Access Databases and computerised business management systems. Previous experience in a similar role will be a distinct advantage. You must have strong interpersonal skills, be a good team player and have the ability to communicate at all levels both verbally and in writing. Good attention to detail, excellent problem solving skills, and the ability to work under pressure are all essential.
