Our Client is a multi- national food logistics and facilities provider. Our Client manages a large food distribution contract for a military client from a modern multi-temperature distribution centre located in Kuwait.
They are currently seeking an accomplished Inventory Manager for this distribution centre.
The Role:
Reporting into the Depot General Manager the primary objective is to achieve and maintain customer service level in required frames while the stock holding and write offs are kept within the target. In addition the successful candidate will be responsible for the centralizing of re-ordering models and will also implement and standardize inventory control processes.
In addition the role has customer service responsibilities and you will be required to Promote ?Best Practice? customer service through the timely and accurate processing of all customer orders, and the fast, decisive and courteous response to all customer enquiries.
Specifically you will ensure the timely and accurately processing of orders, order confirmations, goods in transit, supplier delivery notes and supplier invoices and will record daily and weekly percentages of credits actioned to customers.
You will liaise closely in relation to out of stock and substitution issues, and ensure these are communicated to the customer, DGM, and warehouse department.
You will ensure all administration documentation is completed and processed accurately and effectively and will maintain purchasing models to facilitate accurate and timely procurement of all stock items for the depots with a target to ensure maximal customer service level, minimal write offs and maximum margins.
You will manage key performance indicators relating to stock management: customer and supplier service level, stock write offs, stock adjustments, stock value, supplier issues, stock in weeks, excess stock and will oversee the management of short shelf life products, slow moving products and removal of delisted products

Knowledge and Skills:
To meet this unique challenge, you will ideally be an ambitious inventory professional with your inventory management experience ideally gained in an fmcg environment.
You should have the ability to work on your own initiative with minimum supervision and possess strong numerical and analytical skills with an ability to prioritise workloads, be both proactive and reactive and have a high degree of data entry accuracy.
You should possess excellent communication skills in English and ideally one other language and be able to adapt to rapid changes in a positive manner and work to tight deadlines.
Superb inter-personal skills and instant credibility are essential as you will be inter-facing with a number of people from different backgrounds, nationalities and religions.
You will be resourceful with a flexible outlook, have the ability to multi-task in order to handle competing priorities and be able to fit in to an international dynamic and multi-cultural environment.
Finally you should possess a Drivers Licence and be PC / IT literate.
This is an outstanding challenge for an accomplished Inventory Manager looking for something different. Whilst our Clients operation is somewhat unique they are in it for the long term and are looking for a minimum of 18 to 24 months commitment.
The basic salary is paid in US Dollars and is tax free for an Ex-Patriate employee. In addition there is a bonus payable after 12 months service which is paid annually and is also paid in US Dollars and tax free for an Ex-Patriate employee.
Accommodation, local transport, health insurance is provided free and a monetary allowance for meals is paid. In addition employees have the use of a phone to call family and friends and also the internet for e-mails etc.
Western Ex-Patriate employees will receive 30 days annual leave per year.
Western Ex-Patriate employees will receive 1 paid return economy flight per year and Mobilization and De-Mobilization flights are also paid for by our client.
