Our Client is a multi- national food logistics and facilities provider. Within their Site Services Division they are currently seeking a Physiotherapist / Gym Instructor to support the health and well being of a contingent of Armed Forces based at a camp at Mazar e Sharif, Northern Afghanistan.

The primary objective of our clients health team based at the camp is to support the health and well being of the contingent of Armed Forces belonging to a country who is member of ISAF, the Peacekeeping Force in Afghanistan, with an emphasis on preventative strategies in a confidential and positive environment.

Reporting into the Camp Services Manager the Physiotherapist will be a key player in a team who will be primarily responsible for meeting the physiotherapy requirements of the team at the camp.

The successful candidate will be required to develop strategies to support the delivery of preventative physiotherapy and massage treatment. They will plan health facilities and delivery of services in conjunction with fitness candidates and will build a rapport with fitness candidates and will consult and provide appropriate advice to candidates on support available.

They will ensure that the medical practitioner is aware and updated on all fitness candidates injuries and medical problems and the provision of treatment and will provide appropriate support for any fitness athlete effected by crises such as serious injury, illness, family bereavement, or social ?calamity? during the period of time.

Knowledge and Skills:

The successful candidate will be a qualified medical practitioner who is of Physiotherapist holding post graduate qualification in either manipulative physiotherapy or sports physiotherapy.

You should also possess experience with elite fitness athletes or working with a National sports team.

Superb communication skills and instant credibility are essential as you will be inter-facing with a number of people from different backgrounds, nationalities and religions.

You should possess excellent communication skills in English and ideally one other language and be able to adapt to rapid changes in a positive manner and work to tight deadlines.

Finally you should possess a Drivers Licence and be IT / PC literate - Microsoft Office.

This is an outstanding challenge for an accomplished Physiotherapist looking for something different. Whilst our Clients operation is somewhat unique they are in it for the long term and accordingly they seek a minimum of 12 to 18 months commitment.

The basic salary is paid in US Dollars and is tax free for an Ex-Patriate employee. In addition there is an annual profit share bonus payable which is also paid in US Dollars and tax free to an Ex-Patriate employee.

Accommodation, laundry, local transport, health insurance and meals are provided free. In addition employees have the use of a phone to call family and friends and also the internet for e-mails etc.

Western Ex-Patriate employees will receive 63 days annual leave per year and the working rota is approximately 14 weeks on, 3.5 weeks off.

Western Ex-Patriate employees will receive 3 paid return economy flights per year and Mobilization and De-Mobilization flights are also paid for by our client.
