Risk Underwriters (Insurance) : Credit Risk Insurance Company : Canary Wharf : salary up to £29k, 22 days holiday plus flexitime (10 days extra holiday), Mon-Fri 9-5pm

My clients, a worldwide corporation and leading experts in Credit Management, are urgently looking for experienced (assistant level) Risk Underwriters (Insurance field) to join to dynamic team at their UK offices in Canary Wharf.

Reporting to the Underwriting Manager : UK Risk Department?

Key responsibilities:
?Ensure all customers, internal and external to the company, are provided with the most effective credit limit service in terms of turnaround times, communication and quality of decision.
?Loss Mitigation, balance sheets and profit and loss accounts
?Contribute to a Risk portfolio to ensure all objectives are met.
?Effectively implement the Risk Business Model by agreeing prompt limit decisions, monitoring and providing quality communication within agreed service levels.
?Ensure that credit limits are consistently and correctly assessed, having taken into account all available information. They should be agreed in prescribed times and recommended as necessary in order to ensure renewal and new business targets are achieved.
?To monitor risks in accordance with company Quality Standards so that loss ratios are managed within budget and a quality risk service is provided to our customers.
?To meet clients, buyers and brokers in order to keep loss ratios on budget, maximise cover and ensure renewal and new business targets are achieved.
?Actively support Commercial in achieving top line profitable growth which will include, implementing the Client Service Relationship Programme (Policyholder Grading) effectively.
?Complete delivery of projects and other ad hoc tasks within agreed timetables, so that the company reduces costs, improves customer service and increases efficiency.

Required qualifications, knowledge and experience:
?Degree standard of education, preferably business/financial based or Equivalent.
?A good understanding and knowledge of UK Risk Underwriting and/or credit management.
?Experience to undertake analysis of financial, economic and other information to assess credit risk. This will include knowledge of financial statements and an ability to compile spreadsheet accounts and cash flows where appropriate.
?Excellent communication and customer/relationship building skills both internally and externally of the Company.
?Strong IT skills : Experience with Goldmine and IRP systems advantageous
?Knowleage of the credit insurance market and its competitors.
?Demonstrate good financial analysis skills by producing and analysing a spread of accounts with good analysis
?Demonstrates awareness of the non-financial aspects of Business Risk assessment
