Role and Key Responsibilities:
? The main focus will be on Reserving projects
? Development and interpretation of general insurance statistical information
? Conducting analysis and producing forecasting data
? Presenting management information and recommendations for improving the quality of data and information where appropriate
? Pricing
? Development and interpretation of general insurance and statistical information.
Qualifications and Previous Experience Required:
? Completed the CT series & have ST3 in the examinations for Fellowship of the Institute/Faculty of Actuaries.
? Solid business experience, ideally within general insurance, or at least a broad understanding of general insurance actuarial work and a keen willingness to pursue an actuarial career in general insurance.
? Strong analytical skills including familiarity with a range of analytical techniques and ideally some practical experience of statistical analysis packages.
? Commitment to high levels of accuracy, combined with the flexibility to adapt working methods in line with the needs of the business.
? Good communication and interpersonal skills and an ability to explain technical findings to a variety of audiences, preferably with experience of writing reports and producing management information.
? The ability to manage and deliver on projects involving own work and that of others, demonstrated by experience of managing small projects.
? Excellent IT skills and aptitude required, with experience in both spreadsheet and financial modelling packages desirable.
Further training and a competitive package of support for professional actuarial examinations will be available for the successful candidate.
