Commercial Insurance Salesman : Devon - Salary based on experience

Job Purpose:
To develop new commercial insurance business in line with an individual target.

Job Activities:
? To develop and maintain a prospecting database.
? To develop new business through proactive sales and cross selling.
? To provide new business quotations in a timely and efficient manner and providing relevant advice, information and guidance to assist client in making informed decisions about their cover.
? To take and execute instructions from new clients ensuring that cover commences at the correct time, all relevant records and diary entries are created and Contract Certainty achieved wherever possible.
? Ensure that any conversations, client meetings or instructions are clearly recorded on the client records using an event log.
? Provide support and back up to relevant colleagues in performing daily and operational routines in the office, including computer systems.
? Any general duties that may from time to time be required by the line manager (or directors of the company) in accordance with the nature of the job.
? Above all uphold and promote the good name and reputation of the company and treat all clients, insurers and colleagues with courtesy and respect.

These duties should not be regarded as exhaustive and will be subject to review from time to time. The post holder will be required to perform such other duties as the exigencies demand.

Requirements:
? Minimum of three years experience with either an insurance company or broker.
? Good team working, organisational and communication skills essential.
? Must have Insurance background experience essential.
