Commercial Account Executive (Prestige Insurance Broker) : Henley-on-Thames, Oxfordshire (RG9), £35,000 basic salary with discretionary 25% new business bonus including 22 days annual leave and birthday, usual company benefits.

A fantastic opportunity has arisen with our valued Insurance client based in the beautiful Henley on Thames. The town is overlooked by the beautiful Chiltern landscape of wooded hills and green fields. Just a few strides from the riverbank is the very heart of Henley with its historic church, town hall and market square, the latter bustling with busy stall-holders and shoppers on market days. The Company:

Set in the beautiful town of Henley, our client works in both Commercial and Personal lines and have grown and developed their brand with two acquisitions since being founded in 1984.
The team is split 50/50 between Commercial and Personal Lines and currently comprises of 14 team members. They are a close and friendly group with national broker backgrounds and high professional standards. It is upon this work ethos that the company has built its excellent reputation for quality and competitive relevant insurance products. They are also appointed brokers for high performance, prestige manufacturers TVR, Porsche and Aston Martin. They deal with clients large and small and each and every policy receives the same personal and professional attention.

Role and Key Responsibilities:

? To ensure conversion of new business, service of existing accounts and retention of renewals to achieve company income targets in accordance with company procedures and regulatory requirements.

? Generate enquiries by prospecting and pro-actively selling, including sales visits to prospects and making outbound telephone calls and organising mail-shots.

? Manage and supervise the workflow of the Account Handlers in the Commercial Department.

? Ensure Commercial Department works pro-actively to achieve targets set by the Managing Director

? Respond to enquiries from clients, brokers and underwriters received by phone, letter, e-mail or fax in a courteous and helpful manner and ensure that all information required by clients or underwriters is obtained and communicated.

? To share responsibility for dealing with any actions attaching to existing clients on mid-term adjustments. Providing full support to clients in the event of a claim, including meeting Loss Adjusters and other professionals on site liaising with Insurers, assisting clients with paperwork and negotiating claims with Underwriters

Skills, Qualifications and Previous Experience Required:
? A solid background in Insurance, preferably with good technical knowledge of the commercial market.
? You will understand renewal processes and be able to exercise efficient timing in order to manage the departmental diary system and produce renewal documentation.

? You will be able to demonstrate high levels of attention to detail in order that you can scrutinise new business documents received from insurers and pass to Administration section for processing.

? Have a solid administration side in addition to strong sales abilities; this will enable you to deal with administrative queries regarding new business, renewals or adjustments.

? An understanding of financial data to be able to liaise with the accounts department and ensure that credit control rules are followed and that cash flow objectives are achieved.

? Experience of credit control is desirable as chasing overdue or bad debt will be part of this role.
? Experience of cross selling additional products, the use of a computer quotation system and ability to liaise with insurers for bespoke products are all extremely important for this role.
? You will have approximately 10 Years commercial experience and must have clean driving license.
