BUSINESS ANALYST LOCATION:- London (EC) SALARY:- Circa £50,000.00 commensurate with skills & experience.
Description
Reporting to Head of Business Analysis, the Business Analyst will be responsible for the analysis, requirements gathering and functional specification of the designated system(s).
Responsibilities
? Be responsible for the User Requirements and Functional Specification of the designated system(s) ? Act as business specialist for the designated system(s) ? Be the interface with the client user(s) to gather and define client business requirements for the designated system(s) ? Undertake and lead client-facing workshops and meetings as a natural part of the requirements gathering process ? Review functional deliverables as required ? Ensure the subsystem functional design integrates with the project Functional specification and is underwritten by the Functional Authority ? Ensure adherence to relevant aspects of the Quality Plan ? Provide internal consultancy to the project development teams and testing teams on points of specification clarification ? Ensure that projects become a byword for quality

Competencies
? We are looking for a candidate with the following minimum experience: ? Must have at least 2 to 3 years experience as a BA ? Software House or Consultancy background preferred ? Must be capable of obtaining business requirements from senior stakeholders ? Must be comfortable leading and driving client-facing workshops and meetings ? Must be a clear and competent communicator able to digest and express complex business requirements ? Must be capable of producing all BA documents for full project lifecycle with clarity and attention to detail ? Must have experience working in the Insurance industry preferable London market or closely related sector ? Must have a good understanding of the Insurance Policy lifecycle
Other desirable but not essential experience:
? Understanding of Risk placement / Insurance Front office / e-commerce preferably web based ? Insurance product development ? Understanding and experience of implementation of insurance Rating algorithms ? UML ? Understanding of document management, workflow and process improvement projects ? Experience of using Microsoft suite of products to provide business solutions including SharePoint Server 2007
