Our client is hungry for an Area Underwriting Manager who can deliver and maintain a profitable Professional and Financial area account, while contributing to the delivery of growth targets and handling complex cases. They?re looking for people who are passionate about the industry and can translate that passion into results : both for themselves and for their teams.
Role and Key Responsibilities:
? Identifying opportunities for profitable growth and correcting issues in the target area account
? Handling complex cases and referrals where relevant
? Performing agreed audit procedures to identify areas for improvement and implementing appropriate action plans
? Dealing with complaints within own license level ensuring conclusion or escalation
? Providing coaching and support to improve the technical capability of team members
? Agreeing performance objectives and development plans for direct reports
Skills, Qualifications and Previous Experience Required:
? Underwriting license
? Relevant legislative and regulatory requirements
? Experience of coaching people in the principles and practice of the sales process and underwriting
? Demonstrable experience of building and maintaining effective relationships with brokers, clients and sales colleagues
? Strong technical ability
