This is a 3 month contract for the NHS for a Technical Subject Matter Expert with the NHS, on a part time basis.

You will be working on the Laboratory Management Information Systems (LIMS) Replacement and Radiology Management System (RMS) Modernisation projects.

The Subject Matter Expert (SME) will need to understand and interpret the following:-

� The technical architecture requirements are being proposed by IHC for national information systems. Moreover the SME must be able to demonstrate the necessary experience to assess the impact of these requirements on the approach being proposed for the LIMS and RMS solutions.

� Liaise between the various interdependent projects and project teams to ensure an achievable and uniform technical architecture is adopted for the LIMS project and those with which it has interdependencies

� Act as a technical resource to contribute to the ongoing development of the LIMS project with regards to the development of technical specifications, configuration plans, potential data flows, connectivity, technical services etc
� Act as a technical resource to contribute to the development of a business case for PACS integration any subsequent procurement and implementation

� Knowledge and experience of large scale infrastructure (networking) projects
� Knowledge of hospital based pathology
� Knowledge of Laboratory Information Management Systems
� Knowledge of Radiology Information Systems and PACS
� Good communication skills:-

o Technical documentation and authoring skills
o Team working
� NHS knowledge and experience for example: processes, language, terminology
� Proven track record within Public sector environment
