Senior Project Specialist - Hertfordshire/ On site/ Remote- Base up to £45,000 plus bonus and benefits

Leading IT Solutions company are looking for a Senior Project Specialist to be the lead technical authority in providing detailed design, configuration and support in large complex project environments covering voice, data and converged solutions.

-To provide expert deployment of projects and consultancy relating to, employing the latest technologies on time and to budget.
-To provide expert advice and support at any point in the sales cycle in order to ensure the effective delivery of technical solutions to any colleague within the business.
-As lead post-sales technical authority, to identify and then implement actions that allows mitigation of risk to deployed projects.
-To author, and remain responsible for the delivery of a detailed suite of documentation for the purposes of project handover to both customers and in-life management.
-To take the lead in determining the suitability of new products and services into the businesses portfolio by way of technical evaluation and assessment.
-To support sales by demonstrating the company?s latest products and services capabilities in order to effectively secure incremental revenue.
-Raise, monitor and manage technical escalations to manufacturers relating to projects, in order to ensure problem free solutions deployment.
-To maintain a level of expert knowledge, skills and certification, in alignment with business needs and manufacturers requirements.
-On solutions deployments, to either act as, or in partnership with a Project Manager, the central point of technical assistance in order to manage and co-ordinate resources and services.
-To be responsible for the mentoring and training of engineers and customers in order to facilitate an effective knowledge and skills transfer.
-Maintain in-depth knowledge and records in relation to assigned projects, providing prompt and accurate information, advice and guidance to both colleagues and customers.
-Lead the installation process through configuration and testing of relevant equipment to required standards.
-In partnership with pre-sales, to be responsible for identification of incremental revenue opportunities by way of establishing strategic technical relations with clients by advising account managers.
-To support the sales function by assisting in the response to bids relating to future business.

Key skills and experience:

-Significant knowledge and experience in a chosen specialist field aligned with the strategic needs of the business
-Advanced understanding of engineering principles and practice, usually supported by achievement of the highest level of manufacturer accreditation standard.
-Established and successful engineering background in a customer services or field engineering role with a high degree of emphasis on design and troubleshooting
-Current UK driving licence
-Comprehensive knowledge of: operating practices and procedures. Including SH&E, National Customer base, Broad range of technical knowledge, Expert skills in area relevant to current strategy
-Broad knowledge of Services strategy, priorities and standards
-Strong skills in: Customer Care, Time Management, Presentation skills, Communications (oral & written), Use of relevant IT and software, Use of relevant tools and equipment.
-Routinely deploy complex networking solutions with both hardware and software
-Experience delivering projects of over 200 seats
-Experience of : Call Manager 4, 5 & 6, Unity, Arc, Call Manager Express
-Some on call may be required
