A successful company require a Java, SQL, and XML, Senior Analyst Programmer near Birmingham. The role will involve mentoring and supporting a small team of analyst programmers for the Full Development Life Cycle of the company?s products. The successful candidate will have in-depth industry experience with; Java (esp. J2EE and Struts), Servlets/JSP, SQL, XML, exposure to structured working practices, especially use of version control systems CVS/Subversion (Version control). Experience in one or more of the following would be very advantageous; Web Technologies, JavaScript, AJAX, JUnit and MS SQL (from a DBA design perspective).
The candidate will be capable working on their own initiative without supervision supporting the work of other programmers in the team. Work with clients and colleagues using agreed methods and tools to provide effective solutions. Agree and maintain detailed plans and schedules to govern all development activities, and delivering against these plans. You will have excellent analytical skills to improved development processes where possible. You will produce reports and research, analyse and present appropriate options to meet business needs. You will also have excellent leadership and communication skills.
