SQL Database Administrator - Based Nottingham
A fantastic opportunity for a Database Analyst for UK-based, commercial provider of healthcare information. Our client provides the publication of guides to healthcare services in the UK and which more recently has been the provision of information tools. The client has developed significant business in areas such as bespoke data analysis and software development and also created pioneering methodologies that enable fast, accurate identification of potential problems and areas of high achievement in clinical performance.
Following a period of managed growth and expansion, our client is actively recruiting Database Analysts to aid in delivery of a variety of internal and client focused initiatives across the NHS. The Role will also manage the data infrastructure within the company
Principle Accountabilities
? Maintaining and developing ETL processes
? Database Administration on Production and Development Environments
? Research & Development
? High Availability planning, Disaster Recovery : Backup & Restores (Database)
? Business Intelligence Technologies (SSIS, SSRS, SSAS) design and implementation
? Review and improve existing processes, procedures and infrastructure
? Ensure data quality, consistency & Integrity of data which underpins all our products
? Extract Transform Load (ETL) design and implementation
? Security design and implementation
Education, Certification & Experience
? MCDBA /MCITP / MCTS (Database Administration SQL Server 2000/2005) or equivalent preferable
? Degree Educated (Computer/Mathematics related preferable)
? Experience as MS SQL DBA with confident experience of using SQL 2005.
? Good working knowledge of SSIS
? Experience of working with VLDBs in Production and Development environments
? Good T-SQL
? Performance Tuning & query optimisation
? Database Design
