A leading supplier of IT software solutions & services within the Public sector market require a Project manager to project manage the implementation of Bespoke software solutions from initiation through to completion (post implementation review) and be responsible for delivering projects to the business and to the client on behalf of the Project Owner/Sponsor.
You will be responsible for: ? Full responsibility for all aspects of project management on allocated projects: ? Completion and maintenance of all project documentation according to the project management methodology ? Liaison with internal teams and third party suppliers to ensure the timely provision of equipment and services. ? First line in the escalation procedure. ? The closure of the project on its completion to ensure a smooth transition to the support team. ? Preparing and agreeing detailed project plans using Microsoft Project as a tool ? Owning the plan and agreeing it with the client project manager or internal project owner as appropriate ? Negotiating and securing the necessary resources ? Putting in place formal project reporting both internal and to the client ? Managing the change control process ? Managing project risks & issues ? Responsible for all time recording and project billing ? Ensuring quality of the deliverable
To be considered, you must be an experienced project manager of client facing projects; possess experience of implementing high value package software solutions and have experience of ideally working in the public sector/local Government market either for a software house/consultancy or end user site.
