Programme Manager - Strategic Change programmes : Local Government/Public Sector : UK Wide
Package: £50-80,000, Car Pension & Private healthcare
A leading supplier of IT Consultancy & Software Services within the Public sector market require a require a Programme Manager Lead and manage large scale, complex or high risk programmes for their customer base and work with strategic customers and prospects, in a pre-sales capacity, to provide advice and guidance on implementing successful change programmes. Responsibilities:
? Manage the programme?s budget on behalf of the programme director, monitoring the expenditures and costs against delivered and realised benefits as the programme progresses. ? Plan the programme and monitoring its overall progress, resolving issues and initiating corrective action as appropriate. ? Management and analysis of issues. ? Build, manage and motivate the Programme team. ? Ensure the delivery of new products or services from the projects is to the appropriate levels of quality, on time and within budget, in accordance with the programme plan. ? Be responsible for the quality assurance and overall integrity of the programme. ? Manage third party contributions to the programme as appropriate. ? Communicate with all stakeholders. ? Manage both the dependencies and the interfaces between projects. ? Manage the risks to the programme?s successful outcome. ? Report progress of the programme at regular intervals to the Programme Sponsor and the Programme director.
To be considered you must possess: ? A minimum of 5-8 years experience in Programme and Project Management using leading methodologies and processes ? Experience in managing multiple parties including Senior Project Managers and third party vendors on high profile and technologically innovative enterprise solutions ? The ability to manage large teams across multiple sites, including customer team members ? Prince 2 level training or equivalent ? MSP training or equivalent ? Knowledge and understanding of public sector market pressures ? Experience of keeping track of multiple, complex, time-phased activities and critical path management ? Understanding of budgetary control and resource allocation procedures ? Experience in the Local Government or public sector market
