Microsoft Infrastructure Consultant - 3rd Line Support - Dorking/Surrey
Package: £30-40k, Pension & Private healthcare
A leading supplier of IT software & Managed Service solutions within the public sector market require a Microsoft Technical Infrastructure Consultant (2nd/3rd Line) to deliver projects, consultancy and technical support as required to external clients.
In execution of your duties, you will:
? Ensure all implemented solutions are backed up with documentation
? Manage, meet and maintain service levels; provide a point of escalation where appropriate to maintain technical service to customer
? Manage or act as central point of contact for incidents escalated from service desk or second line to Senior Technical Specialists
? Provide expert knowledge of Managed Services processes and systems
? Be available to provide remote or on site service for implementations and migrations;
? Provide technical pre-sales assistance and ensure all implementations are documented and all information filed with Contract Manager.
To be considered, you will need to possess:
? Expert knowledge of Windows 2003 server and desktop side operating system and possess very strong experience with Exchange 2003, Active Directory, ISA Server and ideally be accredited to MCSE level.
? Expert knowledge of desktop operating systems including Windows XP and Vista
? Knowledge of Citrix and thin-client solutions
? Strong desktop Microsoft application/product knowledge
? Strong working knowledge of Microsoft server products including Exchange, SQL Server and Microsoft Clustering/high-availability technologies
? Any experience with Unix/Linux related technology & Cisco networking would also be useful.
