This leading design consultancy have an interim position for an experienced embedded engineer who combines technical and academic excellence with proven commercial / sales abilities. You should have strong experience in embedded software engineering as well as a working understanding of electronics. Candidates for this position will be expected to have good communications skills to work with clients during project work and also to support group sales. You must have a good academic track record, with at least a 2.1 in a related discipline, eg, computer science, electronic engineering or equivalent commercial skills. Further you should have a solid background with demonstrable experience of product development and be able to developing product specifications and designing from system to detailed level. We would like you to be able to demonstrate exposure to a range of processors, operating systems and development tools. Medical product development exposure would be of strong interest. This is a rolling 6 month position however we envisage there to be work for over 12 months. Rates are negotiable in line with skill level. Cambridge UK based.
