Database Designer : SQL Server - Leeds

Package: up to £35,000 plus benefits

My client, a leading supplier of IT software & Services Company require a Database Designer/Consultant to act as the custodian of database design for a software product.

In execution of your duties you will:

?Design database for performance
?Design, implement, document, and impose process for submission of database change requests from developers & technical consultants
?Have full understanding of any onsite database customisations
?Provide identification of key areas for product QA following database changes
?Ensure the database component of patch upgrades and releases via database scripts, and release documentation
?Contribute to auto-installer
?Maintain full and up to date database documentation, schematics and database dictionaries
?Undertake database migrations
?Assist support in resolution of database issues

To be considered you must possess experience with:

?MS SQL Server 2000 & 2005 (3-5 years experience)
?Microsoft Certified Professional on DBA track
?TSQL
?SSIS experience
?Service Oriented Architecture
?Knowledge of full software development lifecycle
?Excellent documentation skills
?Experience of working in a team

Any experience of the following skills would be useful:

?Source code control tool exposure (preferably Subversion)
?Exposure to .net advantageous
?Exposure to Java advantageous
?Microsoft Visual Studio
