2nd Line Support - Feltham, Middlesex
Package: £22-26,000 plus benefits
My client, a leading supplier of IT software & services, require a 2nd Line support analyst to provide internal IT Desktop support to a number of their internal users
In execution of your duties, you will:
? Work to Group IT SLA?s in resolving any problems
? Perform daily housekeeping tasks such as backup tape management and event log checking.
? Log and record support call information
? Support and assist in the development of all desktop/laptop hardware and configurations
? Support all peripheral devices e.g. printers, video conferencing equipment, projectors etc
? Support all client applications (install/uninstall, errors, assistance, upgrades etc)
? Work as a part of a team to resolve issues in all offices : this will occasionally mean travelling to sites where it is not possible to resolve issues remotely
? Assist 3rd line support team in resolution of support calls where required
? Process purchase requests for desktops and laptops and associated peripheral devices
? Build or re-build of internal laptops/desktops
? Process the purchase requests for software licences for client applications e.g. Visio, Project etc and assisting in the management of licensed software
? Liaise with 3rd party suppliers to resolve any issues
? Be the point of contact for 2nd Line support and provide remote ?hands and eyes? service when needed.
? Provide assistance to 3rd line support with routine tasks e.g. swapping backup tapes
? Be familiar with Anti-Virus protocols and be able to handle virus breakouts
? Be familiar with all corporate systems e.g. corporate filing, email and email filtering to effectively support users
To be considered, you will need to possess at least 2 years experience in a similar role (Microsoft environment); possess experience using helpdesk/fault logging applications and be qualified to HND or equivalent in an IT Related subject. Ideally will have one or more MCP?s, or be able to show learning to the same level
