Our client is a privately owned air charter and logistics company. They operate a fleet of aircraft (both passenger and cargo) and helicopters operating throughout The Middle East, Europe, Africa and near Asia. Existing operations include scheduled charter operations both passenger and cargo in Iraq, Turkey the Gulf States and Afghanistan. In addition ad hoc passenger and cargo flights are conducted in Africa and Europe. The Company also has a Helicopter Operation in Iraq and will shortly be expanding its Helicopter Operations into Africa and Afghanistan.

They are currently seeking an HR Manager to be based at their Head Office in Dubai.

Reporting into the HR & Administrative Director the successful candidate will provide a full Human Resource service with an emphasis on recruitment and selection. In addition you will support the HR & Administrative Director in developing the HR department by participating in formulating HR policies, procedures and systems and other HR initiatives.

Key tasks will be to recruit and select suitable employees into the business ensuring all positions recruited for have an up-to-date job description.

You will be responsible for the management of personnel files and correspondence, benefits administration, policy advisement, travel coordination oversight, payroll, expense report approval coordination, processing of documents to acquire visas and credentials for staff and visitors, performance review process advisement, general administration as needed.

You will provide support to Managers and employees and provide general advice to Managers regarding HR issues. You will develop a good working relationship with other departments and will facilitate positive employee relations within the business.

Whilst the position is based in Dubai, the successful candidate will be required to travel to Africa, Middle East, former CIS countries and Afghanistan.

Knowledge and Skills:

The successful candidate should have a tertiary qualification in HR / Personnel or Business Administration and be an accomplished HR Generalist.

You should have a grasp of broader business issues and the ability to initiate and deliver change in a way that engages our clients people.

In addition you should have a positive, professional and proactive approach and have the essential ability to communicate at all levels and a commitment to develop, both in terms of our client?s HR function and on a personal basis.

You should have the ability to work well and with loyalty in a team environment with clear focus on the priorities of the HR Manager role within the business. You will possess the ability to interact well with all levels of staff while demonstrating patience and a collaborative spirit; energy and a proactive nature displaying integrity, courtesy, reliability, and professionalism.

You should be fluent in written and spoken English and have a strong attention to detail.

Superb communication skills and instant credibility are essential as you will be inter-facing with a number of people from different backgrounds, nationalities and religions.

You will be resourceful with a flexible outlook, have the ability to multi-task in order to handle competing priorities and be able to fit in to an international dynamic and multi-cultural environment.

Finally you should possess a Drivers Licence and be IT / PC literate. This is an outstanding challenge for an accomplished Human Resources Manager looking for something different.

The basic salary is paid in US Dollars and is tax free for an Ex-Patriate employee. In addition there is an annual bonus which is also paid in US Dollars and tax free for an Ex-Patriate employee.

In addition the job holder will receive either a housing allowance or free accommodation, medical insurance, a laptop and mobile phone. The holiday entitlement is 30 days.

Ex-Patriate employees will also receive 1 paid return economy flight per year and Mobilization and De-Mobilization flights are also paid for by our client.
