HR Manager - Cambridgeshire - Salary £Competitive + excellent benefits
As our client continues to grow they are looking for an experienced HR generalist to join them in this essential role. Not only will you need a sound knowledge of employment law, performance management and a wide range of HR policies but you must be able to interpret and implement these in a practical manner.
Recruitment will form a significant part of the role as will training, development and the ongoing promotion of the Groups HR policies and procedures.
Previous experience in construction or the building services sector would be an advantage.
Skills and Competencies :-
An in-depth knowledge of employment law and awareness of forthcoming developments in employment legislation
?The practical application of employment law to day-to-day problems and situations as they occur. A basic understanding of TUPE is desirable.
?The ability to prioritise and organise one?s own workload together with that of the overall HR function
?The ability to communicate and gain the confidence of directors, managers and staff
?A high level of communication skills both written and verbal
?Strong influencing skills
?The ability to lead, manage and motivate staff, ensuring their continuous development within their roles
?Problem solving skills and the ability to apply current policies and procedures in a sensitive and appropriate manner
?A high level of discretion and the ability to maintain strict confidences when appropriate
?To be numerate and accurate
?To carry out analysis and make appropriate recommendations/ decisions.
?An ability to understand the industry in which they operate and adapt to this without compromising good practice or employment legislation.
?To be forward thinking, innovative and have good project management skills to ensure the development and implementation of new HR policies and procedures
?Good presentation skills and a sound knowledge of approaches to training and development
?A good knowledge of Microsoft Office and other appropriate packages
