Our client is looking for a Team Leader to work in one of its residential homes in Devon. The main purpose of the role is to lead, support and develop Care Assistants leading by example and promoting good practice. Ensuring the delivery of a sensitive and efficient care service to residents, which enhances their quality of life. All applicants must be 21 years and over and either have their NVQ 3 in care or working towards this qualification with 6 months experience in a nursing or residential home.

REQUIREMENTS OF THE ROLE

Experience

? Applicants should have 6 months experience of working in a care setting, ideally with older people
? Experience of working as part of team and working to quality standards and procedures
? To have worked unsupervised with the ability to continually prioritise workload
? NVQ Health & Social Care Level 3 or equivalent or a willingness to work towards

Skills and abilities

? Good understanding of the needs of the elderly
? Ability to aid assessment, plan and implement care
? Able to motivate and encourage others
? Understanding of equal opportunities and the ability to put this into practice as appropriate
? Excellent communication skills
