We currently have a Section Manager vacancy for our esteemed Cheltenham based client, firmly cemented as a top company in the Financial Service Sector. Located in the Heart of England, neighbouring Wales and the Cotswold?s our client has excellent history and turnover in it?s three major vertical markets and is a great place to serve key clients, utilise your previous management skills and develop your career.

The Company:
Our client has over 20 years experience in the industry, with their first client signed 1987 and has in the region of 45 administration staff. They administer around 62,000 life, pensions and investment policies on behalf of six UK providers
They perform in excess of 14,000 transactions are each month and currently manage funds circa £702 million. They launched their Annuities service in October 2006. They are also Investors in People accredited.
The department we are recruiting for looks after the end to end mortgage process from an administration point of view and our client has several mortgage clients for which you will manage the service for 1 specific client and a team of approx 10-15 Mortgage Associates.
The culture of department is an administrative contact centre, target driven and very people/client focused.

Role and Key Responsibilities:
? To conduct the performance management and appraisal process for all direct reports
? To manage resource levels, workloads and productivity to ensure targets are met
? To recruit staff to meet business needs
? To have an in depth knowledge of policies and procedures within own client channel and high level knowledge of other client channels
? To ensure activity is carried out to agreed service levels and within agreed controls, meeting regulatory and statutory obligations
? To energise and enthuse the team through visible targets, regular feedback and team focus
? To identify training needs and take steps to improve skill/knowledge levels.
? To provide coaching and support to all team members
? To ensure all processes are continuously reviewed to ensure they comply with the standards specified by the FSA and the other Codes of Conduct and that the team understand and comply with these
? Interpret the needs of internal/external clients to set and meet expectations and resolve issues as they arise
? To consistently encourage and participate in two-way communication with the team and be responsible for onward communication of any information to ensure that the team are aware of the business strategy and progress.

Qualifications and Previous Experience Required:
? Proven track record in supervising or managing a team, preferably in the Financial Services sector
? Professional qualification preferred, e.g. CeMAP®, FPC.
? Good working knowledge of software packages e.g. Microsoft Word & Excel
? Self motivation and motivation of others
? Problem Solving
? Coaching
