Investment Fund Group Relationship Manager, Southampton, £60k + benefits
My client is a leading provider of long-term savings products with a range of innovative solutions for pensions, investments and protection. The Open Architecture (OA) Team is responsible for selecting the funds that are offered on the companys platform and for managing the relationships with the 70 fund groups whose funds are represented. The OA fund menu gives the underlying individual client, through their IFA, the ability to choose their level of investment risk. Once this is selected, the IFA guides his client through the platform, toward a range of cash, bond or equity funds, or a branded packaged product. A Fund Group Relationship Manager is required to perform the following tasks: Manage and is accountable for relationships with external fund groups with respect to the companys OA platform of funds; Support the relationship between OA and internal business units; Negotiate commercial terms with external fund groups on behalf of internal business units; Work closely with OA colleagues in developing a tailored fund strategy, i.e.., which funds to have on the platform in order to offer an attractive investment proposition for each business unit; Source new funds and handle requests from external fund groups with respect to additional funds proposed for the platform & implement New Fund Process ensuring ?fit? with agreed business unit fund strategy; Ensure that legal agreements between business units and external fund groups are up to date; Influence and advise senior management as required; Manage fund risk issues to ensure business units do not expose themselves to unnecessary risk or reputational damage; Draw on internal shared infrastructure teams to meet the above objectives. Applications are invited from experienced individuals with the following key skills: Relationship management; Negotiation skills; Presentational skills; Knowledge of the UK financial services market and especially retail funds; Investment and product knowledge; Familiarity with regulatory and compliance issues.
