Salary to £35,000

Experience and/or qualifications in proven MRF Management, Recycling Process Plants, Transfer Stations (WAMITAB Level 4), Health and Safety (IOSH), Transport (CPC) would be a strong advantage. The successful candidate will also be required to gain the relevant Health and Safety NEBOSH qualification.

Our client requires a Recycling Facility Manager for their Material Recycling Facility (MRF) in Mitcham, South London. This role will include liaising with the local London Borough Council, whose co-mingled recycling materials are delivered for processing. Working with and managing the contract is a key part of this role in line with the client?s policies and procedures while meeting budgetary requirements.

The individual will also be required in a strong supporting role in the operations of a very busy Transfer Station liaising with two London Borough Council?s, a separate Baling Facility, Mobile Plant and a Transport Fleet including Sub-Contractor Haulage. This location also provides services and administration for these aspects to our local South London satellite depots. In the Location Managers absence the individual will be responsible for managing this operation. The successful candidate will report directly to the Location Manager.
Candidates should be self-motivated, financially aware, conscientious and have the ability to manage, motivate and develop the existing workforce. They should also be able to demonstrate strong leadership skills while displaying a pro-active approach in maintaining and developing a Health and Safety awareness culture.
