A vacancy has arisen for a Mechanical/Hydraulic Service Engineer within our clients Airport Services Division, based at London Heathrow. The role is to support an in depth engineering contract and the jobholder must be a proactive multi-disciplined individual. They will be working as part of a large team of engineering staff of varied disciplines and directly controlled sub contractors in the service delivery of reactive and planned maintenance tasks on aircraft
support and specialist engineering equipment.

This will entail:

· Carry out reactive repairs and routine preventative planned maintenance to aircraft support and specialist engineering equipment within the agreed service levels within various locations
· Ensure effective capture of information of assets, reactive and planned work, through use of handheld technology and timesheet entry
· Support the business in the raising of Purchase Orders (PO) and Minor Works Requests (MWR)
· Take responsibility for working in accordance with all relevant Health and Safety rules and regulations
· Prepare risk assessments specific to tasks being undertaken
· Comply with British Airways safe systems of work
· Promote teamwork and customer service culture with internal and external customers by appropriate communication

Qualifications and Experience:

· At least 3 years experience within a similar role.
· Recognised apprenticeship or trade qualification in mechanical/hydraulic engineering.
· Experience of working on the maintenance of mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.
· Multi-skill experience
· Ability to work in an operational environment
· IT literacy
· Manual handling experience
· Results/tasks orientated
· Level of interpersonal and customer relationship skills.
· Reasonable fitness level, with the ability to work at heights
Other factors:

· Valid full driving licence
· Successful completion of Criminal Record Check at Basic Disclosure Level (CRC) is mandatory with 5 years uninterrupted references
