Senior Design Engineer (Building Services) - South London - £40k - £47k + Bens

My client is a nationwide Construction and Property Consultancy. A vacancy has now arisen for a senior building services engineer.

General Overview:

Candidates will be expected to have attained a recognised degree in the construction profession, be a chartered or working to become a member of the CIBSE, IEE or IMechE or demonstrable experience as a Building Services Engineer. Candidates will be computer literate with excellent communications skills and enjoy working as a key member of the team.

Experience:

As a Senior Building Services Engineer candidates will be expected to possess considerable knowledge and skills attained during your previous work experience within the construction industry. Duties will comprise but not be limited to:

? Preparation of design and site supervision of mechanical and electrical building services.
? Space heating systems.
? Ventilation; Air conditioning and comfort cooling.
? Process plant.
? Domestic hot and cold water services.
? Lighting and Electrical services.
? Plumbing; Kitchen equipment.
? Lifts.
? Fire detection and alarm systems; Security systems.
? Telephone and IT systems.
? Building and energy management systems.
? Value engineering analysis; Added value to the design.
? Calculation, design, drawing and specification of the aforementioned.
? Prepare ?as fitted? drawings and operating and maintenance manuals.
? Prepare health and safety plans and compliance in connection with Construction (Design and Management) Regulations.
? Carry out troubleshooting exercises associated with energy consumption and the provision of suitable internal conditions, surveys, reports, schedules of dilapidation and feasibility reports.
? Carry out preparation of planned maintenance specifications, planning of maintenance procedures and contract management and reporting.
? Prepare budget cost plans.
? Prepare fee proposals, invoices and client management roles as appropriate (assisted by AD/Director).
? Assist with training and staff development as appropriate.
